Samantha Wittchen is a designer, artist and maker living and working in Philadelphia. She’s been sewing since she was nine years old, when her grandmother first taught her how to thread a bobbin. After sewing casually for years (a set of curtains here, a duvet cover there…), she decided to get more serious about it in 2013, when she embarked on a year-long effort to become a better seamstress by completing one sewing project per month and writing about it on her blog. Sam enjoys teaching others how to make stuff with their hands and is excited to share her love of sewing at DM+D.
