Learn to program by writing data visualization software in Javascript. This class will introduce programming concepts and invite you to get your hands dirty visualizing your data with Data Driven Documents (d3), an open source toolkit developed for New York Times online graphics. Sample code and data will be provided. No knowledge of programming or Javascript is required. Ages 14+.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Mitchell is a tinkerer and theorist who uses d3 visualizations in his academic work. He likes physics, welding, hiking, and marine ecology.
